If You’re Lezzy and You Know It

**to the tune of "If You're Happy and You Know It". of course. hehe**

If you're lezzy and you know it
Clap your hands. Clap, Clap.
If you're lezzy and you know it
Clap your hands. Clap, Clap.
If you're lezzy and you know it
and you really want to show it
If you're lezzy and you know it
Hold her hands. Woot! Woot!

If you're two-way and you know it
Stomp your feet. Stomp, Stomp.
If you're two-way and she isn't
Stomp your feet. Stomp, Stomp.
If you're two-way and you know it
and you really want to do it
If you're two-way and she isn't
Stomp your feet. Stomp, Stomp.

If you're gay and you know it
Laugh out loud. Haha!
If you're gay and you love it
Laugh out loud. Haha!
If you're gay and you know it
and you really want to show it
If you're gay and you love it
Laugh uber loud. Hahaha!

If you like her and you know it
Give a hug. Uh-uhmm!
If you like her and you know it
Blow a kiss. Muah! Muah!
If you like her and you know it
and you really want to show it
If you like her and she knows it
Ask her out. Woo-hoo!

If you're broken and you know it
Let it out. Hugs! Hugs!
If you're broken and you know it
Ask a friend. Hi, there!
If you're broken and you know it
and you really want to share it
If you're broken and you hate it
We are here. Let's talk!

If you're closet and you know it.
It's okay. Hush Hush.
If you're closet and you know it.
Let it be. Hush Hush.
If you're closet and you know it
and you really want to keep it
If you're closet and you know it
We're still cool. Group Hug!

If you're happy and you're lezzy
Shout hooray. Hoo-ray!
If you're happy and you're lezzy
Shout hooray. Hoo-ray!
If you're happy coz you're lezzy
and you really want to show it
If you're happy coz you're lezzy
Cheers to us! Amen!

handaan

generation L

love the accent and the interesting characters. there's a lesbian who prefers straight woman. i personally have a friend who's like that. weirds me out. i still need to understand that thing. i seem to not see a lot of femme lez around these days other than in parties. so watching shows like this gives me a peak of what's the gay life out there, or should i say down under. hehe. anyhoo, quick post! :)

source: from AfterEllen

Check this out!  Following on from the, er, success of The Real L Word, Australian queers can now look forward to a home grown reality show about ladies who love the ladies. Soon to be launched Sydney based project Generation L describes itself as “a sensational new reality series that goes behind closed doors and into the lives and bedrooms of the new generation of gay women.”  Filming as it goes, the series will be set around the events of this year’s Sydney Mardi Gras, from the glitzy parties to the morning afters and, of course, the drama in between.

Created by Sydneysiders Yas London and Brooke Hemphill, Generation L is different from The Real L Word in that it centers around a real life group of interconnected friends, rather than a pre-selected cast. Speaking of her friends, who inspired the creation of the series and with whom she co-stars, London says, “Aside from knowing what uniquely fantastic and interesting lives they all lead, I realised they all individually represent strong, sexy, smart, and ‘label free’ women who really embrace the ‘make your own rules in life’ attitude.”

Generation L is named for a recent cultural shift in the local lesbian scene that London attributes to the impact of The L Word, in allowing a broader range of "what a lesbian looks like" to become accepted.  Recounting her early days on the scene as a particularly femme (acrylic nail-sporting!) lesbian, London remembers “cutting my hair off and buying trucker hats and baggy jeans, just to fit in.  That so wasn’t me and I found it weirdly ironic that I had to completely change who I was to fit with a community that was apparently all about acceptance.”  Another notable point of difference from The Real L Word is that Generation L showcases the full range of lesbian glamour, from butch to femme.  “We are all representative of a new type, or generation of lesbians,” London explains.

The creators make no apology for the fact that the cast is made up of "A-Gay’s." All of the cast are successful professionals currently living the good life in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
... all are passionate about living life on their terms, and don’t let anyone dictate how being gay will impact on their lives. They refuse to miss out on anything (Australian laws aside), and are living out and proud…getting married, having babies, breaking the glass ceiling at work - all of it!  We think it is an important story, worth telling to a wider Australian and international audience.
Both London and Hemphill come from a background in the television industry and feel strongly that the time has come for Australian television to step up its game when it comes to queer content.  London says:
I see such extremes fed out to mainstream Australia via the media, that generalise what being "a real lesbian" is. We want to change that … it’s time to get representation of our real lives out on Aussie TV screens. We truly believe that we can have an impact in changing perspectives, and instead of just having "tolerance," we will have true acceptance everywhere.
Disappointingly, the cast is noticeably lacking in diversity without a single woman of colour amongst the line up. When questioned about this London replies:
… This show is about a real group of friends … it has not been cast individually in any way. We do however have age and socio-economic diversity in the character’s backgrounds. It’s a shame that we can’t represent [more broadly] but it’s impossible to do so without being contrived, and it’s unrealistic for this show’s concept because it would be false.
Despite some initial flaws, the show looks to have high production values and a healthy sense of humour. If it indeed screens on television the amount of locally produced queer content will instantly increase by one hundred percent, and I have to say I’m intrigued to see what an Australian version of a lesbian reality show will look like. L is for landslide

when you realize you're in love, and it's with your bestfriend, and she's a woman, and she's with someone else and you said "love me, please love me", and she didn't choose you. you've fallen, hard and deep. and she's not there to catch your fall. when you realize you're gay and there's no turning back really. landslide.

landslide

i took my love and i took it down
i climbed a mountain and i turned around
and i saw my reflection in the snow-covered hills
well, the landslide brought me down

oh, mirror in the sky, what is love
can the child within my heart rise above
can i sail through the changing ocean tides
can i handle the seasons of my life

uh uh… uh uh, uh uh….

well, i’ve been afraid of changin’
cause i’ve built my life around you
but time makes you bolder
children get older
and i’m getting older too
well

well, i’ve been afraid of changin’
cause i’ve built my life around you
but time makes you bolder
children get older
and i’m getting older too

well, i’m getting older too

so.. take this love and take it down
yeah, and if you climb a mountain and you turn around
and if you see my reflection in the snow-covered hills
well, the landslide brought it down

and if you see my reflection in the snow-covered hills
well maybe…
well maybe…
well maybe…
the landslide’ll bring you down

Train Crush 17

i think you'll tire me easily. the length. look at those legs. there's too much skin to kiss and touch (in a good way).

i fear that i'll always fall short (vertically) with you. but then again, they say all is fair in love and war and even on bed. hehe.

i love your long waves of hair, i can drown in them easily. but how i want to partly move the locks of hair covering your face so i can see more of you. and then tilt your chin and stare at your eyes, run the back of my palm to your skin, and drink in the beauty of you. intoxicating. =)

buysexual

Am currently reading ":59 seconds Think a little, Change a lot".

from the book, i learned, that to achieve a more lasting kind of happiness, buy experiences instead of goods. experiences give you memories (in time, we tend to remember the good stuff more over the bad ones), products bought get old, worn out and lose its appeal in time.

how does one buy experience, you may ask. go out for a meal, concert, cinema, theater, holiday/vacation, bungee jumping. Spend time with people. Not products (which tend to isolate us with others. Read: ear plugged generation).

as a friend often say to me hindi mababayaran ang saya kahit $1k pa. at sabi nga sa citibank tv commercial, priceless. :)

Personally, i've not really been a fan of buying. not because i don't want to, i just can't afford to. based on the book's test, being materialistic starts at a young age. like i've always been deprived so i am materialistic that way. but i want to buy stuff for my family, not really for myself. so same effect for me, my materialism gives me joy (lusot!). sabi ng iba, I am low maintenance. to others that can mean am cheap. which is fine. to me that means, am cheap, because it doesn't take much to please, make me happy. i mostly stick to the basics. so in a way okay din pala na lumaking deprived. kasi you won't really look for the things you've never been accustomed to. sa una yes, curiosity siguro, then later on i realize, it's just stuff i don't need.

so on my bday eve, i feel happy. i don't have a lot, but i have enough for now. the rest, i can wait for. i am not afraid of hard labor, because that's how i've been raised. so hindi ako takot maghirap or mahirapan. but if i can avoid it for my family i would.

so steady lang ako. nakatapak ang paa sa lupa (wala lang, kasi may gravity. hehe. kasi dapat realistic), nakatingala sa langit (dahil buti na lang libre ang mangarap), bukas ang mga bisig (handa sa anumang dumating, wag lang end of the world) at nakangiti (kasi hay, masarap mabuhay). =)

Indeed a happy birthday to me. Cheers!

Lights On
By The Pierces
-----

Ohhh Ohhh Ohhh
Ohhh Ohhh Ohhh

Some people say that I want you for your money
But I really want you for your body
Pleased to meet you baby,
I want to be your honey
So let's go tell your daddy and mommy

This won't get any easier now
That your heart is beating in my hand
And I've tried not to destroy you baby
Even though we both know I can
Ohh you know I can

Make love with the lights on baby
Tell me what you see
Clear the bed to lie on darlin'
Make a mess of me

Here's my dress to try on baby
Let me be your man
I will call you pretty darlin'
Tell me what I am

Ohhh Ohhh Ohhh

Ca-Ca-Ca Can I have your number?
Can I have your baby?
Can we run away together?

I would walk on water
I would walk on fire
I would sell my soul to the devil

And this won't get any easier now
That your heart is beating in my hand
And I've tried not to destroy you baby
Even though we both know I can

Make love with the lights on baby
Tell me what you see
Clear the bed to lie on darlin'
Make a mess of me

Here's my dress to try on baby
Let me be your man
I will call you pretty darlin'
Tell me what I am

Make love with the lights on baby
Tell me what you see
Clear the bed to lie on darlin'
Make a mess of me

Here's my dress to try on baby
Let me be your man
I will call you pretty darlin'
Tell me what I am
