LGBT Children Story in the Philippines

with pride, i share to you the first ever children story in the Philippines with lesbian parents in the characters and the theme (that i know of). =) this is a happy and momentous day! :)

the author, Bernadette V. Neri, won first place in the 2006 Palanca Awards for Literature under the Short Story for Children category. wow! that long. how could have i missed this. anyhoo, the wonderful news is that the book is being printed already and may be available this August. malapit na! :) per her fb profile, she teaches in UP Diliman.

to you miss Bernadette, THANK YOU!!! this means a whole lot to us.

*with apologies as i just grabbed this pic from your fb profile. i did send you a message of my intent :)*

this is sad. the more that we should show our support for this milestone book in philippine literature :) i will buy and also give to friends :)
